Treasure Scientia School History
Treasure Scientia School was founded in August 1, 2017, by Evangelist Bernard & Deaconess Peace Abana in partnership with the Trustees of Conquerors Church of God Inc.. Treasure—implies how great our children are cherished and valued; Scientia—a Latin word for Knowledge (teaching and learning) School—an academic Institution. Treasure Scientia School therein refers:—an academic Institution for the teaching and learning of both Staff and children that are highly valued.
TSS, having met with all the Government requirements for Registration, obtained Imo State Government approval barely three months of her inception (Oct. 24, 2017). The approval includes Certificates to run a Nursery School, a Primary School, a Junior Secondary School, and a Senior Secondary School.
TSS does not place emphasis on Competitive approach because competition can only make few Staff/Children feel superior and many others inferior in every given small world. TSS upholds the Challenge System. Challenge approach helps both Staff and Children to attain a height they never realized they could get to, thereby building up their confidence to do more.
Who then fund TSS or how does the School maintain their structures, equipment, procurements of both consumable and non-consumable items and also pay over One hundred Staff of the School? The Answer is simple—
Firstly, THE SCHOOL FEES: which contribute barely forty two percent of the much required funds needed for day to day running of the School.
Secondly, DIVINE INTERVENTION: which comes through the Board of Directors and other philanthropists such as Ms Carmel Smith, Rev. Dr. Glory Uchefuna, etc. To all these and many others we say a Big Thank You!
TSS as it is fondly called is designed to serve as an academic haven for all children. The Rich sees the School Structure and facility and nodded in approval.
The Middle class brings the children of their Bosses to the School and realized that they too could afford to train their kids there.
The poor and the needy timidly come to seek for menial jobs and would be amazed to discover that even their own wards could afford to pursue their academic dreams at TSS.
In other words, TSS is not a School for the rich in mind but for the rich in heart.
Some Children are at TSS under the Free Education concept. Some are allowed to pay a certain amount we believed they could afford to pay. And others willingly and cheerfully pay whatever the Management requested and still went home satisfied that our fees were very considerate considering the quality of learning we impact of their Children. In all, the Poor, the Middle Class and the Rich found TSS affordable and satisfactory.
